Hey...
It sounds like you were trying to achieve what I was trying to achieve. We've been using z-drives for a few years now, and absolutely love them. Unfortunately most of them are R2 - and OCZ has end-of-lifed them. And it appears that they do not have Debian drivers for the R4 series.
My entire purpose for this next project is to upgrade the VM server to an R4 series z-drive.
1. OCZ has not ( and may not ? ) release linux drivers
2. ProxMox claimed that they would never release proxmox with proprietary device drivers
Have you found the same ?
On a side note,... the 'velo' drive ( which does not utilize the proprietary drivers ) WILL work with proxmox/debian/ubuntu/centos etc... that's what I'm using now. Only I want the performance of the z-drive instead. Dang they're expensive.
What did you pay for your 600 R4 ??
