    Tried following the instruction by creating the flash drive using "dd" command, it resulted in the same gray screen.

    I downloaded the latest "proxmox-ve_7.1-2.iso". I used the Startup Disk Creator on Ubuntu 21.10 to create the flash drive. I will follow your link and use the "dd" command to make the flash and try.
