PBS fully updated but now I have no GUI (error connection refused) ..
I have access the the shell, but no GUI and PBS is, after a reboot showing short time a valid PBS storage in Proxmox but after a while it turns ? and is not accessible anymore
So it seems that there are issues with PBS...
Indeed it is possible to mount a remote filesystem and sync the datastore with the backups
What I did was:
first make a SMB cifs mount point on PBS
than add the datastore of this mount point in PBS
in the SYNC part I added the IP of the PBS and the location of the normal source datastore
the...
I have 3 HP Gen8 Microservers as node running Proxmox 7 with the supported version of Debian 11 Bullseye
I would be happy if the delay would be ie x minutes before the machine is rebooted or I would be happy if HA can determine that the whole cluster cannot be reached. But I can understand if...
I understand that as home user of a 3 node proxmox setup I am somewhat different than the pro users.
but I like to play and to understand the features Proxmox is giving me.
I had HA configured with replication of 2 machines and saw how proxmox was handling the priorities, so far all ok for this...
I understand this, but the client is Proxmox itself. In proxmox you define keep 1 month, keep 1 week and keep ie. 7 days, but when there is no number of weeks defined what is stated as option in the simulator I cannot see how to keep a monthly backup and a weekly backup. Than only x number of...
Although this is an old thread, I have found the prune simulator, but where can I find the number of weeks in my own configuration?
from the simulator:
it looks like it's not there?
and therefor I cannot keep a weekly and monthly backup ..
@dietmar Yeah, that was / is not clear from the message .. I saw the new function to add the certificate, but it gave me no hint that I had to do that ;) Possibly available in the manual but could not find it ;)
but in the end I found out it myself where I could change it.
After last update and reboot of PBS proxmox tells on my 3 nodes that I have a finger print issue
When pressing on the PBS datastore, Backups I see
PBS: error fetching datastores - fingerprint 'xxxxxxxxxx' not verified, abort! (500)
Due to this no backups can be made right now
What to do to...
can confirm today that my backup now shows all OK in the email after todays updates which were pushed the last 1 or 2 days ..
so the issue with the time-out probably solved it ;)
here also the client log file not stored.
Initially I had 3 concurrent backups at one time from my cluster (every machine at same time) but due to previous issues I backup machine by machine, and lxc/vm after lxc/vm I have about 5 to 8 LXC/VMs on that machine some are good and some fail. And...
how to find the client log file? than I can check
This is what I see from PBS
2021-02-23T10:08:06+01:00: starting new backup on datastore 'Store1': "ct/101/2021-02-23T09:08:00Z"
2021-02-23T10:08:06+01:00: download 'index.json.blob' from previous backup.
2021-02-23T10:08:06+01:00: add blob...
Same issues as Tobias and also same versions
Just looking through some logs
I cannot see at which point the http request timed out
Cause when I look for the backup itself
It states ok ..
