LXC on PVE7 crashes with UNSUPPORTED(1)

Just to follow up, setting unprivileged fixed the problem. Not sure how they got set that way to begin with but that's what it was.

no web gui, qm list ipcc_send_rec[1] failed: Connection refused

I know this is a very old post but I just had the very same problem with pve7 and found that my hostname and /etc/hosts did not match up. Once corrected, pve-cluster launched correctly and all is good. Careful with those hostname edits :-0

LXC on PVE7 crashes with UNSUPPORTED(1)

I've checked the hardware out and it is fine. The problem follows the container. it does the same thing after being moved to a different node that was running flawlessly. After I posted, I found the container was set to privileged so I've backed up and restored as unprivileged. I'm hopeful...

LXC on PVE7 crashes with UNSUPPORTED(1)

A few months ago I installed new hardware and migrated our old systems from pve6 to pve7. One LXC container, a lightly loaded email server, crashes after 5-10 days putting the whole server filesystem in "read-only" mode. It effects all other LXC/VM on the machine and the only recovery is reboot...

    Setting up 3-node cluster switching

Hi all, I'm searching but not finding the right answers. New to VLAN's and want to be sure to get it right! What is the strategy when using three nodes and three switches? I have CEPH network (10GBe), corosync net, and the local users LAN. My plan is to used tagged VLAN on separate CEPH and...

    Backup Failing on GlusterFS

I'm running Proxmox 4.4-24 with all current updates and having a problem with nightly backups to a GlusterFS. It has run fine for over a year with no errors and good write speed. Backups are fast. In the past week they started failing with the following error: "INFO: lzop: Read-only file...

    Centos5

I'll throw in a vote for CentOS 6.9 too. It is so much better than CentOS 5.

Directory '/var/run/screen' must have mode 777.

I have a new install of 4.4 that has subject problem with screen. I can fix the problem by chmod 777 but I don't understand why the problem comes back after each reboot. This problem started after I backed up the OS (fresh install) and restored it on md/raid. Other installations I've done, that...

    Proxmox VE 5.0 beta1 released!

Note: I have updated my post above to reflect the problem with the Intel X540-T2BP card. It requires a special driver that is available under NDA only. Beware the low priced options on ebay!

KVM / CentOS 6.8 random hang with 100% CPU

We have narrowed this down to hylafax. When we disable hylafax during peak usage the server operates without crashing. Anyone have problem with hylafax in KVM? We are running hylafax+ 5.5.9 which connects to modems via DigiPort terminal server.

KVM / CentOS 6.8 random hang with 100% CPU

I have a problematic VM that randomly hangs with CPU usage pegged to the max. the load average goes 30+ and though I can ping the machine as normal, the console never responds and all users are locked out. Until the crash, the system runs under 1.00 load average. I have to stop/start to get it...
