Memory ballooning

Hi all. I am setup the proxmox cluster with proxmox 9.2.2. I like to know how to use the memory ballooning feature to reclaim the unused memory to the host.
I have setup the maximum and minimum memory with the same value since if I set different value like 1:4 ratio the vm memory utilization goes high. I mean the memory was locked somewhere inside the vm. This issue is only for Windows.

Ballooning only triggers at ~80% host memory usage by default. Until then VMs can get up to the max set. See here and here.

For linux vm it was working fine with minimum and maximum as 1:4 ratio. But for the windows vm its not working as expected. Someone please help me to configure successful memory ballooning in proxmox cluster.

That's way too vague. Did you install the ballooning driver/service?

Yes dear. I have installed the drivers and also validated the ballooning and qemu services are up and running.

But still the memory consumption was high inside the windows vm. It was running at 50% at idle
