Issue with Spice and no Mouse on one VM

Hello all,

I tried searching and couldn't find an answer. Yesterday, I switched my VMs over to Spice because it seemed better than Novnc. Everything worked except for one virtual machine. This is a Windows 11 machine that was imported from VMware. When I switched to Spice, the mouse did not appear on the screen at all. I noticed that the machine was imported as i440, while all my other machines were q35, so I changed it to q35. Still no luck. I uninstalled, rebooted, and reinstalled the virtio drivers, and still nothing. I manually changed the conf to have tablet: 1 and tablet: 0, and still nothing. Does anyone have any idea what's happening or what I am missing? Novnc has worked the entire time, but Spice has not. I went back to Novnc until I can get it figured out.

hi,

Can you check if the spice client (remote-viewer) has any errors on the cli?
What OS do you use on the client?

did not yet see such behavior, so no idea currently why that shouldn't work. I440fx vs q35 should not make a difference.

can you also post the vm config here? (qm config ID)

Thank you for the help! Yeah, it is a weird one. Especially since Novnc works fine. I would love to get the error, but could you tell me how to get them? The client is Windows 11, and Spice works for every other machine except this one, which was imported from VMware. I believe this VM was upgraded from Windows 10 to 11 at some point in the past.

Here is the config. I don't really know what is sensitive and not, so I removed what I thought might be. If you need that, just let me know.
