I am looking for in depth study on the subject of Software Defined Networking in ProxMox, one can say deep drive in the subject, and i am actively looking for study material, case study, white paper, practical and real life usages of the same.

i am requesting members to help or guide if they have some material in the subject, or where can i find more details.

also i am looking for migration process to SDN from older version of proxmox ???

thanks

I do not use SDN, so I can not help.
or like a hand on lab for complex networking
For "risky" experiments (originally with Ceph, in my case) I've setup a virtual PVE cluster. Inside that cluster one can run dangerous experiments without the fear to destroy something important - just create a snapshot of the "hosts" in beforehand :-)

i already have a nested lab setup for experiment with proxmox, but as i am looking for practial and real life use of the sdn ..... that is why i am looking for case study or more indepth documentation of the subject, but my search is going on ... hope proxmox will comeout with more study material some time in near future ......

i have a hypothetical question, if anybody faced the situation kindly revert

there is a healthy three node cluster with ceph installed, one 10g + one 1g switch is connected to the cluster, the 10g switch is for cluster + ceph network traffic dedicated and data is traveling through 1g switch with 10g uplink.

if any reason the 10g switch restart or get defected, and it may take 2-3 hours to replace the switch (in case of deffect) , should it cause the cluster to fail ? or loosing data inside the vm will get corrupted is understandable, but my question about the full cluster ? what will happen in the said case ?

i am planning for adding stackable switch in near future for redundancy .........
