MINISFORUM MS-01 i9 13th - shutdown issue

Dear all,

i've got my MINIS MS-01 (i9 version) two days ago and install on it PVE 8.1.4 with kernel 6.5.11-8.
My major issue is when i try to do "power off", the machine doesn't turn off but stay on (obivusly is not reachable).

The BIOS is very limited, so no configuration about ACPI.

Any other suggestions?

Have you waited long enough? When i shutdown my ms-01 (i9 13900H) it takes time to fully shut it down because of the vm and all that. Out of interest, how much ram have you installed in yours?

I'm getting the same issue. Can I ask where you got the microcode update from? I'm suffering issues after shutdown where I can't get the MS-01 to power back up again until I disconnect CMOS and wait a few

i've sent the unit back because integrated 10GbE has EMI issues in particular env

Anyway you can update to latest microcode using this command:

Thank you! It's starting to dawn on me that lots of people are reporting issues with these machines.
 
If you have KVM instances or qemu instances open, MS-01 will not shutdown.
Make sure the instances are down before rebooting or shutting down.
 
So glad I came across this thread. I have been wondering why my MS-01 doesn't shut down properly. Glad I found the answer. I will try it tonight when I get home to see if this works its wonder.

Sorry for late response as I was out on business trip.

Installed the microcode and didn't seem to work. Not sure if it has anything to do with the fact that I am currently running 9.0.9.

EDIT: I installed the microcode again, and this time it works. Not sure if it has anything to do with the fact that the microcode must be reinstalled each time the kernel is updated.
