dhcp Server issues

Hi,

I know it's a consumer hardware/computer, not a server.

When you tried this, the "other" has the same L2 connection as the proxmox server ?

Well, I don't know your background, but I know that the same setup is working in my case, so I know that it's not simply a bug in proxmox (and you will not be the only with this issue).

But that is fine if you don't want to spend any more time and this, i just wanted to try to help since this issue is weird and for me not related to proxmox (based on the information provided).

Best regards,
I just found what maybe the cause: https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/d...ut-addresses-past-the-host.102763/post-570237 The MS01 uses similar NIC's. I'm going to try disabling AMT.

I’d love to spend more time working through the problem.. but I physically don’t have it. I’m installing all this tomorrow and leaving home in 30 mins to get there tonight. It does appear to be related to the NICS on the MS01 as I’ve found a few mentions of similar issues now. But f that is the case it would be nice if Proxmox had a tech briefing on it as the MS01 is a very popular machine for small deployments and homelabs

Hi,

It's a hardware issue, not a proxmox specific issue (same appear on vmware or other OS), if anyone should talk about this issue is miniforum, the hardware vendor, just like asrockind (Cf : https://www.asrockind.com/en-gb/index.php?route=newsblog/faq&faq_id=91).

Or just use enterprise grade hardware (which don't use this kind of NIC as I'm aware), you can find cheap refurbished options that will last longer than consumer products which are not intended and designed to run 24/7/365.

Best regards,
