Trying to netboot with netbootxyz

Proxmoxers,

I have netbootxyz running in a container on my TrueNAS server under Portainer. I am trying to perform a network boot using OVFM (it seems to boot fine when I use SEABIOS). I created a VM within Proxmox and when I try to boot via network it states:

BdsDxe: failed to boot Boot0001 "UEFI QEMU HARDDISK " from PciRoot (0x0)/Pci (0x5,0x0)/Pci (0x1,0x0)/Scsi (0x0,0x0): Not Found
BdsDxe: No bootable option or device was found.
BdsDxe: Press any key to enter Boot Manger Menu.

Adding that device did allow for Proxmox to boot properly using a UEFI firmware selection with NetbootXYZ. I was using a VirtIO network device too. I would hope that the folks at Proxmox add a note to the configuration screen where one selects a firmware too boot with noting this can fix a faulty UEFI boot scenario so people see the solution at the moment they configure a boot firmware.

However, regarding NetbootXYZ (and I will file a ticket with them now), I see there are several dysfunctional choices.

1) Fedora 41 and Fedora 42 do not even try to boot at all
2) Kali Linux boots but errors out in the middle of the boot process.

I suspect these concerns are issues with NetbootXYZ not Proxmox or its environmental configuration.
