[SOLVED]Windows installation always fails

Hi
Fresh installation of proxmox trying to create a windows vm always fails in final installation step


Any help would be appreciated

Things done :
* re downloaded the iso and verified sha
* Tried using sata insted of scsi
* set socket to 1 as MarkusKo recommended

can you try to change the processor to 1 socket? windows 11 may dont like / support multiple sockets depending on the edition

I would do:

Machine = q35
RAM = 8 GByte
Windows ISO on IDE0
Virtio-ISO on IDE1
CPU = host, 1 socket, 4 cores (or 8 cores...)

At which point of the installation does it stop?

CPU = host, 1 socket, 4 cores (or 8 cores...)

The installation fails at the last installing windows step

what is the sha of the ISO ?
try with a Win11 23H2 iso

It was my SSD with a few bad sectors causing the issue
got new SSD it works like a charm
