Notifications not send thru the desired smtp configuration , still seems to use sendmail

As i cant use the sendmail functionality for notifications as a specific smtp configuration is required i disabled the default matcher and default sendmail (mail-to root) configuration.
Created a new SMTP configuration and a new matcher and as target selectd the smtp config.

When press test on the smtp configurion email arrives normaly in the desired mailbox so know that the smpt config is oke in regard of authentication and port settings.
When i now perform a backup and want to receive a notificaiont the notification isnt send thru the smtp config but still seems to use sendmail.

Any idea how to get this working ?

Hi,
for the backup job/invocation you need to set the Notification Mode to Notification System or to Auto and not specify an explicit mail address there. See: https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/chapter-notifications.html#notification_mode

Your are totally right simple mistake at the end was very logical
