Which is better for me ?

How could we know??? You did not tell us anything about your usecase. Do you have a commercial cluster or a Homelab? What are your requirements, your knowledge regarding administration, your budget for a subscription, ..., ...? (PBS can be used without a subscription, which is really great for a Homelab.)

In my opinion PBS is the way to go! For me it is the optimal solution for PVE, which is not surprising :)

Hey raymond555! What are you trying to backup? VMs, containers, certain files? I can personally recommend the Proxmox Backup Server, as it has great integration with the Proxmox VE and can either be used for free or with a subscription for support. You can check out the Proxmox Backup Server features to decide whether it fits your needs.

Disclaimer: I'm working at Proxmox.

I need to know if Proxmox backup is a solution suit us and thus this thread exists. If it should not be existed, let close this thread.

PBS is mostly for VMs and lxcs hosted in PVE but but you can also backup bare metal servers with the proxmox-backup-client
