Hello,

I cant seem to get any ISO to boot, I'm having the same issue on two systems.

My Home lab Dell PowerEdge R730, and a ProtectLI(I believe their a proxmox partner).

The only instance I've been able to get Proxmox working is on an old ThinkServer i used as a proof of concept with.

I've tried OPNSense( this is where the screen shots came from), Debian and Ubuntu will load the grub boot menu but then fail with "Error: Attempt to read outside of disk. "cd0"

I've also tried the two bios, switching the cd to IDE, SATA, scssi. still fails with slightly different error messages, but ultimately they end with "waiting on CAM"

Any suggestions?

Hello BirdDaNerd.

I'm still learning a Proxmox. I saw your error screenshot.
Can you check if the ISO image is not broken and download the ISO one more time.
Can you also disable Secure boot if it is enable.
Can you also change the boot mode to Legacy o UEFI.
Can you check if another VM can read the ISO.

Hope this helps,

Thank you for the reply, I think I've tried these but cant hurt to double check. I'm currently reinstalling 8.2 I was trying down grading to see if I could get around the issue.

My laptop drive was nearly full, so when extracting the ISO, only a small amount of the ISO was extracted... I'm at least glad it was something small.
