Veeam backup12.2 from Proxmox to ESXi supported as well ?

Hello All,

I tested Veeam backup12.2 from ESXi to Proxmox with Ubuntu22.04, Window 10, it works great,
I also tested Veeam backup12.2 from Proxmox (Ubuntu22.04, Window 10) to ESXi from Proxmox to ESXi,
When restore them to esxi, veembackup is always shows, "waiting for user to start migration",





then, I selected "Migrate to production" for Ubuntu;


Several minutes, I could login into Ubuntu 22.04 and ok to ping to internet like below ;


but Veeam backup didn't completed , and still shows the same message "Waiting for user to start migration" with Status: In progress ;



How can I make it completed , Is there anything I missed ?

I recently learned about a software similar to Veeam, which is called Vinchin. It seems to have similar functions to Veeam. I am testing it.

In at least half of your posts you are mentioning this software (company) / site; lately even with, what looks like, affiliate links.
So, looks like you are more into advertising this instead of only testing...

Thank you for your feedback! You’re right, I’ve mentioned Vinchin a few times lately, and I may have been a bit too enthusiastic about sharing my experience with it. I will make sure to be more careful moving forward and avoid giving the impression of advertising. My intention was simply to share the tools and experiences I've found useful, but I understand how it could come across. I'll aim to be more neutral and objective in the future. Thanks for the reminder!
