Same GUI two proxmox

I have two servers with Proxmox, I will not make a cluster, I want to manage my two servers with the same GUI and manage the hardware resources of both servers. Make backups of virtual machines created on a server in another, VM migration between servers, etc.

Is this posible with Proxmox v2?

Yes, that is possible but you need to configure both proxmox servers in a cluster. Both proxmox servers in a cluster permits to manage backups, migrations and hardware resources in a centralized way.

It is not required you configure HA for your VM and CT if you dont need it.

Actually we have 2 proxmox servers in a cluster without HA and we manage both servers with a unique GUI, and we migrate vitual machines between servers, schedule backups.

Then only I need:

In the first node:
pvecm create MY-CLUSTER-NAME

In the other node:
pvecm add IP-ADDRESS-CLUSTER

and nothing more? Multicast switch is needed?
