Problems with Backup

Hello everyone.
When making a backup of any of my VM's, I get: ERROR: job failed with err -5 - Input/output error

When checking syslog, you observed disk write issues.
I have the disk in a Hardware raid 1 on a Dell PowerEdge T40 with PERC4 Raid controller.

Two posibilities:
1) Is it possible that a defective disk does not allow me to make a backup?
2)Hardware Raid influence backup error?

That would match the errors you are observing.

2)Hardware Raid influence backup error?

But yes, it could also be this. To rule this one out, you can try to replace the disk in the RAID and try the old disk on its own/do a healthcheck with e.g. smartctl.

Please also share the exact error from the syslog.
