Acronis inside VM, anyone?

Hello,

One client machine (hardware) was ported from a 2000 Server to a Proxmox VM with 2003 Server (wow !). Everything runs smooth but the Acronis software included on it for incremental backups. Is this a problem with acronis or with the VM?. Shouldn't a backup program run inside a virtual machine like on a "real" one?.

Haven't understood what's the problem exactly, but Acronis 2012 running fine inside a VM.

Thanks a lot for all responses. Reinstalling did not help. The guest system froze on recovery of a backup (it was acronis 9). Now with Acronis 11.5 it does work ok.
