Remove containers from crashed node

I have a failed cluster node I found the process for removing a cluster and setting expected to regain quorum

But I can still see all CT's from crashed node? How can I remove these without access to crashed node?

In fact, how do I remove the master node from a cluster? if I remove cluster.conf and restart it is rewritten upon restart and I cannot remove master node with pcecm delnode?

Any help would be great I would like to remove the cluster configuration and retain the VMs running on master node.
