[SOLVED] Adding desktop to Proxmox server

Does anyone have experience in adding a desktop manager to Proxmox server?

Do these kind of additional programs compromise Proxmox regarding its technical reliability?
Can you tell if there is an adviced desktop manager I can use best? Thanks.

They can do. Installing a desktop environment for example usually also installs the NetworkManager package and that one screws up the network config PVE uses (/etc/network/interfaces). Had to remove the package afterwards.

IS it better to install a OS image with disks pass through and access with rdp?

It‘s not necessary to pass-through a separate disk to install an OS with desktop. Usually you create storages within PVE and add virtual disks to the VM.

But i need to configure snapraid for cold data replication (i have usb disk expect system that is nvme). I can make it on promox interface or i can go by shell?

Would be helpful to know which OS you want to use and what data shall be backed up by snapraid. This is not a feature within Proxmox. In PVE you can backup systems with different approaches and the ZFS system has powerful possibilities.
