HA OpenVZ

Hi,

How to make HA OpenVZ ?

I've got two node HA cluster with Fencing and SAN Fibre Channel.

I followed this tutorial http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/OpenVZ_on_ISCSI_howto and create LUN but it doesn't work.

Any help is welcomed !

Need more info ... wat doesn't work, what is your file system etc etc
Can't help if you don't explain the problem ...

Afaik you need 3 nodes, as stated in the HA tutorial

2 servers (HP ProLiant DL360 G6)
with each 2 disks :
- first Proxmox 2.0 RC1
- second RAID 1

Connected to 1 SAN Fibre Channel (Hitachi)
with 3 LUN :

- first LVM for KVM images
- second /var/lib/vz ext3 for node 1
- third /var/lib/vz ext3 for node 2

I use Fencing "hp_ilo" but it dosen't work :

# fence_ilo -o reboot -a 172.20.11.65 -l fenceuser -p fenceuser -z -v -D error.txt -V

And error.txt is empty
When I stop ressource agent, I've got problem only with OpenVZ machines :

Starting container ...
Container private area /var/lib/vz/private/107 does not exist
TASK ERROR: command 'vzctl start 107' failed: exit code 43

- second /var/lib/vz ext3 for node 1
- third /var/lib/vz ext3 for node 2

HA for OpenVZ will not work that way, because stoprage is bound to specific nodes. You need
NFS instead.
