Considering moving from my ESXi 6.7 setup to proxmox to get ZFS raid. I see there's a path to migrate the VM's currently running on it over anyone know if VMware Photon OS will run on proxmox? All my other VM's are Windows 10 I run photon for docker that holds my nginx reverse proxy and a view other things.

Current Hardware

MB: EP2C602-4L/D16

CPU: Dual E5-2680's

GPU: GTX 1060 Passthrough to VM

MEM: 128GB

HBA: Dell Perc H200 ~ Guess I will be flashing this into IT mode or picking up a new HBA

HARD DRIVES:
OS: 2x 500GB SSD's
STORAGE:
2x 6TB WD Blacks
2x 4TB WD Reds

Planning to move all these 8TB in a RAIDz or RAIDz2 setup.
2x WD Red Pro 8TB
3x WD Gold 8TB - On the way

hi,

take a look here [0]

no clue since i haven't tried myself, but probably, since some threads in the forum talk about that OS (you can search).

otherwise you could use rancherOS as an alternative, for your docker containers.

hope this helps!

if you will install proxmox in esxi make sure to enable the "mac spoofing" option for it
