H there
I'm running Proxmox on a Intel nuc i7

I've had issue after issue with proxmox.
its manly the web UI where it wll run for a few hours or a day or so and then have to reboot it to get the UI to work agan

i tried restart the proxy, etc but they throw errors and wont start.
And sometimes the whole OS goes crazy and wont accept commands through SSH and have to force restart the computer

i've done 4 reinstalls 3 of 7.1 and 1 of 6.4

Any ideas what could be causing this?
regards

hi,

what kind of errors do you receive?

did you take a look at your journal or syslog file? please check those and post the error messages here.
at the time the logs are empty.

login as: root
root@192.168.15.3's password:
-bash: /etc/profile: Input/output error
-bash: /root/.profile: Input/output error
-bash-5.0#

doesnt matter what command the system doesnt do anythng..

the VM's are fine but proxmox is brain dead

ram is fine 32GB Total 12gb used.

that sounds like you might be out of space on your disk, or the filesystem might be corrupted somehow.

please check the outputs of:
Code:
df -h
fdisk -l

find the partition where your / is mounted and try doing a fsck /dev/yourpartition to check for fs errors

seems like you're not out of space

-bash-5.0# fdisk -l
-bash: /usr/sbin/fdisk: Input/output error
but probably your filesystem is corrupted.
ideally you would take your node offline and boot a recovery ISO to make backups of everything that you can, and attempt to fix the filesystem errors
