Proxmox crashing - where to start digging

I get pretty frequent crashes on my PVE server. Seems hardware related. I'm more of a mac guy. Any ideas of where I should start troubleshooting?

try to look at #dmesg or /var/log/kern.log

try to look if you have hardware,drivers related logs, kernel coredump or strange logs at the hours of the crash.
