anyone have an idea what the fix would be ?

all my 6.x installs were from proxmox images i tried and i get this

Package 'linux-image-amd64' is not installed, so not removed
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
pve-kernel-5.4.106-1-pve pve-kernel-5.4.114-1-pve pve-kernel-5.4.119-1-pve
pve-kernel-5.4.98-1-pve
Use 'apt autoremove' to remove them.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 515 not upgraded.

so not a fix thanks for trying to help tho

Maybe a package source not changed? What is the output of "apt update"?

looks like it works now you were right needed to change repo before upgrade

will update once done
