Resizing root partition and other...

Hello and thanks for your really great work.

I have a problem with the root partition size which I consider too hudge (50 GB), so, what the way to reduce it and give this free space to data partition?

By the way, due to hard disk failure problem I had to reinstall Proxmox and import qemu VM and the problem is I give it wrong disk size when I recretaed it (the kvm size is 8 GB and I give 6 GB by the webinterface). How can I correct this?

Regards,

You cant change partition sizes after installation. But you can set it for the installer.

Although 50GB is not to large IMHO.

how did you import the qemu vm? If you copied the files there is no need to change any size.

I just move the KVM file to the right directory and then I create a new KVM with the web interface with the same VMID but I do a mistake, I indicate than I would 8 GB while the KVM did 6 GB...

Is it a really problem?

However, thank you for your reply

This is no problem, because the size is saved inside the image itselfs. So if you copy the image you always have the correct size.
