Hallo @ll,

after doing

qm set 101 --hostusb 057c:1900

i could add an AVM Fritz Card USB V2.1 into a vm. Nice. But it is not constantly there. I tried 1.8_5754 and also 1.8_6070, it is always the same (bug?).

Description:

Switching on the HW (HP ML 350 G5) of proxmox

Switching on vm (first time) including usb-dev in 101.conf
usb-dev is there, works as designed
Rebooting vm
usb-dev is there, works as designed
Rebooting vm once again
usb-dev is there, works as designed

*but*

Doing a halt in vm,
next boot =>
usb-dev is gone
=>
only un- a replugging the cable of usb-dev will bring it (in about two seconds) back into the vm

The problem occurs, if vm will be shutdown regularly, *somebody* near to the hardware of proxmox has to plugoff and -in the cabel, then vm will see the usb-dev on next vm-boot/vm-start again.

Doing some reset-tricks on usb-dev could not help, only un- and repluggin the usb-dev will bring ist back to (into) vm. :-(

Any idea, what is going wrong ?

Thanks in advance for replying/helping.

Hi Dietmar,

thanks for answering so fast, but what is *soon*, next X-Mas ;-) ?
Will this fix come with a major update of proxmox, v2.x ? Or as a minor update for apt-get upgrade ?

Thanks
