[SOLVED] Incorrect display of virtual machine memory consumption parameters.

I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard VM.
When I open Task Manager in Windows I see 5.78 Gb memory consumption, but in Summary (proxmox) I see Memory usage 91.18% (14.59 GiB of 16.00 GiB)

I made the setting as indicated here

QEMU Guest Agent - Enabled
Then install the virtio-serial driver

I am not using dynamic memory. I am using a fixed size.

Without ballooning, the host must treat every page the guest ever touched as used memory, it can't discard it because it doesn't know if the guest is still using it or not [1].

That is the reason PVE reports that more memory is used than the VM actually uses. In order to determine the RAM usage accurately, PVE needs some inside information from the VM.

I did as indicated in the instruction Enable Auto-Ballooning on Windows 2008r2. Everything works. Thank.
