Hi all,

I am new here, and new to Proxmox. Thought I had to test this software, downloaded the 1.8 ve and installed it on an old DQ965GF board with two 320GB disk on it.

The installer disk saw network, because I got a dhcp lease.
After install and reboot: no network.

dmesg:
e100 0000:06:00.0:firmware: requesting e100/d101m_ucode.bin
link is not ready

How to solve?
Since I do not have network I cannot do apt-get update (thinking it might be solved already?).

TIA
Leen

That was possibly the case, yes. It had two other networkcards, Intel e100.
I took them out and put a rtl8169 in, this one worked.
Then I saw in the admin-interface, that eth1 was also available. Reinstalling with no extra networkcards gave me a bridge on eth0, at that time the one on the mainboard (the only one available).

Pitty, that the installer does not give a choice once it detects more then one networkcard, neither does it use the interface that is connected when the installer is running. Confusing.

But it is running now, going to test.

Thans so far.
Leen.
