Very basic configuration with two servers

Hello!


I am considering a very basic configuration with servers with 32GB RAM and 2x2TB hard disk. In addition, they have 4x1 Gbps NICs. What do you think is the best configuration for these servers?

Until now I had only one hypervisor and I had the cards in bond. On the first hard disk, the virtual machines were stored and the backups were scheduled on the second hard disk. But now they have offered me the possibility of acquiring a new server.

And if it's not too much to ask, how can I improve it for little money and keeping the two servers?

Redundancy or just more computation power.

The hypervisor will have at most 5 virtual machines and 28 GB of RAM consumed among all of them

I would use ZFS with pve replica.
But you need for this setup about 8GB Memory for ZFS.

This would bit close with the memory.

Do you mean to assemble a cluster with two nodes and replicate the partition with the virtual machines with pvesr or pve-zsync?

Yes but you replicate only the VM disk and not the hole partition.
