I am attempting to install pve 4.4 on my home server. The machine has an Adaptec 5805 raid card, with 2 arrays configured. The pve installer does not recognize either of the arrays, and only presents the boot USB as a viable install location. Any suggestions?

According to https://storage.microsemi.com/de-de/support/raid/sas_raid/sas-5805/ Debian 8 (base for Proxmox) is not supported. Try without raid.
