Bad performance: ZFS with Self-Encrypting Drives

Hi there,

I have a Dell T330 16GB RAM with a H730 in JBOD mode with 15K SAS SEDs in it. I am getting terrible performance in the zfs pool from this thing.

I have changed alignments/ shut off caching / removed atime with no improvement

Same device with 7200 RPM SATA drives was 300% better

I am very much out of ideas.

Did you try a performancetest with another OS, or another Filesystem?

Yes, it's fine on ext4 with raid10
