CentOS7/NetworkManager: Too many netlink events

I'm evaluating Proxmox with CentOS 7 VMs, and I found some strange messages in /var/log/messages:

NetworkManager ... platform-linux: Too many netlink events. Need to resynchronize platform cache

I googled for this error message, but there is nothing useful to be found. I tested in parallel with ESXi and a native installation, but there I don't see this error.

The culprit seems to be VirtIO. After reinstalling CentOS 7 with Intel E 1000, the error messages didn't show any more.

Has anyone run into similar problems?

Thanks,

Thomas

We also using a lot of CentOS7. Also with networkmanager. But no problem with. I must say we didn'd search for some logs. So maybe we have the same messages in the logs. I think when the system is working normaly you can ingnore the message.

Thank you! As soon as we build the target architecture an purchase subscriptions, I will raise an incident to the support team. Even though it may not be a problem - after some decades in system management I still dislike error messages ;-)
