Greetings,

Newbie here, coming from the world of OpenVZ and on a new provider - I am hitting roadblocks it seems - I was given a primary IP on a single subnet/gateway, then I was given a /28 on another - I can't for the life of me get things to talk.

I have manually configured the extra IP's on a quick KVM instance I made which I manually set the IP's and no go. No access. I've looked through configurations but nothing seems to work - is there a better guide out there? I'm by no means a networking guy, I've searched and tinkered with configurations, but my goal is just to have the IP range available without having to reboot.

Happy to accept any help, or suggestions on reading.

Only to get the facts straight:

You have a bridge vmbr0 with your primary IP and a KVM vm with an attached network interface in bridge mode on this very vmbr0. In your KVM VM you set your ip + subnet including GW. Other GW is also set on your vmbr0 (host) device and you cannot ping?

I was actually coming to post an update, there was a networking issue with my IP's not being routed to my server, so Proxmox is in the clear, and I'm not as lame at Networking setup as I thought I was! :-D
