Hi,

I've setup 2 KVM VM in bridge mode ( without routing ). The config is:

x.y.z.39 Proxmox Host with eth0 and vmbr0 on eth0.

x.y.z.45 e 46 kvm Host with the same mask e gateway of proxmox host with eth bridged on vmbr0.

vmx-node01:/etc/pve# brctl show
bridge name bridge id STP enabled interfaces
vmbr0 8000.00215e479672 yes eth0

vmtab105i0

Why 28% of CPU when all VM are not under workload ( in proxmox home page , I've 0%,1%,0%,4% CPU for 1,2,3,4 vm)?

Is good this config?

I've impression that network and vms are slower and Why VNC Console or RDP Desktop freeze (but vm is not blocked)?

Thank you

Yur setup looks good.

Please try to find out which process consumes CPU (with tools like 'ps' or 'top').

Uhm....

I've setup Win2k8 and Linux machine with 1 CPU...

Info: Windows VM is a vzdump from old server and restore on new server and Linux KVM is a new machine ...
In front of this ProxMox server there is a firewall in bride mode, but if I download ISO from linux console of KVM machine , my speed is 8.9MB/sec...
For Win2k8 I've removed Realtek NetCard and installed E1000, now.

I've stopped also the cluster services ( I've only one node, now ) for speed-up...Is a good thing?
