Very high load after a few days

Hello together,
i have a quite huge problem with a extremely high load on a Proxmox 4 server and i don´t know where this comes from.

The problem is that the load goes up after a few days, and it´s between 4 and 10(!). The only thing i could find in the logs comes here:

Rebooting gives me also an error and the server hangs during the reboot with the following message:

hpwdt: Unexpected close, not stopping watchdog

After this message nothing happens, so i have to kill the power switch.

The strangest thing about this at all is, that it happens randomly for me and i have sadly no idea where to search for the problem.

Could this be caused by a temporally gone NFS share? I have a share which is not always available and i have found this topic about the problem:

There can be 100s of different causes for a high load.
Note that if you have for instance 8 cores, having a load of 8 is no problem by itself, it justs means that the host is fully used.
What are the most active process on your system ? ( ie first 15 lines of top )

The vcpu messages are definitely not the issue. Can you provide more information. When the load is high. What does wait on IO look like?
 
Well it´s fine right now for the last couple of days. I will report as soon as it happens again.

But you know it´s quite difficult to locate such a rare problem.

"Reached target shutdown" is really a big issue for me too. I tried to install proxmox several times on different hardware, using EFI or BIOS. Most of the time neither reboot nor shutdown work: The server hangs with "Reached target shutdown" and I have to use the power button manually.
