Hi Team,

Was running 3.4 fine and followed the guide to upgrade from 3.4 to 4 and it did not go well.

So I decided to rebuild with the 4 iso cd but getting the exact errors.

Hardware is an ibm x3850 M2 with ServeRAID-MR10k SAS RAID controller with BBU.

The error is as follows

megaraid_sas 0000:04:00:0 command timeout from megasas_get_seq_num

not tainted 4.2.2-1-pve

I attach a pic for better view

Can anyone advise please?

Regards,

Raj

ok i updated the hw bios and still the same. What i noticed is that in 3.4 there is a different driver that loads compared to 4

the driver is :

shpchp ata_piix pata_acpi ata_generic megaraid_sas

in proxmox 4 its different and its just after that driver loads that the system crashes

Can anyone help please

regards,

Raj

Hi sigxcpu,

This is happening while install itself as to when you select to install proxmox on the box and it starts to load in ram.

The only difference I can see is that driver that loader just before.

Any ideas

Raj
