Licensing/features for home use

I am just using this at home for a windows VM and a couple of containers. I grabbed the ISO, and when I log in it says that I don't have a valid subscription. Just want to verify:

1. I don't need one
2. It can still use all the cores and resources I have on the hardware

There are no restrictions on free repository, ie no-subscription use https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Package_Repositories
