Hello people,
I have a Proxmox server with a couple of single public IPs as well as a subnet (public) assigned from the DataCenter.
On top of that I have some VMs with private IPs.
The network generaly works but when it comes to the private VMs, I can access the internet with no issues...
Not sure what happened here but I never had this problem before.
When I try to open the consoles I am getting this error (see attached screenshot) about the applet.
I have searched the forums and I did find rather confusing information.
Can someone please describe in very brief why is happening...
Today I saw new updates on the web interfaces however I tried to run apt-get update and then apt-get dist-upgrade from the console. It is the fist time that I was presented with a question of where to install GRUB and I had options like /dev/sda -- /boot -- /dev/sdb.
The second option (/boot)...

Hello,
I have a main server IP and a /29 subnet assigned by the DataCenter.
Their suggested configuration says that I must create a bridge with one usable IP from the subnet:

I am running CSF firewall on the HW node and it has a checkup script which does some checks and suggest some solutions.
Those checks are primarily designed for a common LAMP server and not for PROXMOX, however this is a question to the staff:
Will those suggestions break something if I...
Network / Firewall issue
So far I had KVMs and CTs with public IPs assigned to them however this is now not possible due to the limit of amount of IPs I can have per server from the DC I am in.
I have therefore decided to start having KVMs with private IPs using NAT redirects of the main...

It is possible to control more than one Proxmox HW nodes from one control panel (the master server) however when those servers are in different Datacenters?
Let's assume that a system is installed by ISO and a support contract is in place. If the onwer wants to install extra software on the HW node such as munin, logwatch, webmin, ntop will this OK?
Is this still perceived as a supported node or not because it deviates from the standard software?
Hello,
I have a new server in Hetzner datacenter. After several trial and errors (especialy due to IPv6 presense during the setup) I have managed to have a Proxmox 3.0 enviroment. I am not however 100% sure if this is the proper way to move forward (and load the server with VMs) because I don't...
It seems that although I can operate the CSF firewall with VMs running on public IPs, I cannot do the same with VMs running on private IPs!
The firewall logs do NOT show any packets dropped however my private VMs cannot access the internet.
Can someone please help by sharing his knowledge on...
