Perhaps I have answered my own question. Does [tar -xz 'filename'] do the same thing?
EDIT: This command doesn't seem to work with *.zip files. Back to the question in my first post..
I have uploaded a ZIP file to my Proxmox server that needs to be unzipped. The 'unzip' command does not seem to be installed. Is it safe to install this and what is the best way to install this?
Thanks.
Okay it seems I'm still having a little trouble. Maybe if I ask the question in this way I will understand better what I'm suppose to do.
I have 5 static IPs assigned to me. What numbers should go below for eth0 and vmbr0:
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet...
Thanks for the suggestion udo, but that certainly did not work. I lost connection entirely using this and had to login and edit /etc/network/interfaces directly from the proxmox box in order to change to what I had before. As I followed the wiki, my mistake must be relatively minor.
I'm sure I'm missing something very simple, but I believe I have followed the wiki exactly in regards to setting up a network model using a routed configuration.
I'm preparing my server to be hosted in a data facility and will want proxmox to be on a static IP and each subsequent KVM guest to...
I used the Proxmox 1.5 ISO in the download section, so proxmox-ve-2.6.18.
This is not yet a production machine, so I re-installed 1.4 and everything is working perfectly. As 1.4 is working perfectly I see little reason to upgrade.
I have just installed Proxmox 1.5 and booted up my first Asterisk KVM. During bootup this message appears:
Does anyone know what this means and how to fix it? I don't recall this error in Proxmox 1.4.
UPDATE: Just wanted to add that my call quality is extremely jittery. Not sure if this...
I destroyed the Raid 10 and went for Raid 5 with the same drives and had no problems installing Proxmox this time. The Raid 10 configuration worked fine with CentOS/Asterisk, but fails with Proxmox.
What should I be checking? I suppose the question may be more of how should I check the...
I just installed CentOS 5 without any problems on the same machine. I'm $2300 in the hole on this 2970 if I can't get Proxmox to work.
Before installing CentOS I tried Proxmox again. I re-downloaded the ISO and burned to image. Same symptoms occurred, but this time it got to 90% complete...
I had Proxmox test running on this brand new 2970 in a Raid 1. I then added 2 more drives and destroyed the Raid 1 configuration and built a Raid 10. The install went great. I then messed something up (not quite sure what), but everything broke.
No problem, just testing afterall, so I decided...
Hi Rubylaser, I have a Dell 2970 coming in that I plan to deploy with Proxmox 1.4 and PBXIAF 1.4 in KVM containers. How's your setup working? Maybe we should start a Proxmox 1.4/PBXIAF post to document any weird things we find.
It might be worthwhile to stay in touch so we can help each...
I felt like I should start a new thread for this more general question. This thread is in direct refernce to this thread: http://proxmox.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2353
I have read through the above thread several times and I am concerned now about deploying a new server I have coming in...
Well, I purchased the server and it is set to my installed in a data center in early November. If anyone has used this server before I'd like to know what experience they had with it and Proxmox.
Thanks.
I am about to purchase the following server for use with Proxmox. I would just like to know if this system will be 100% compatible out of box.
Processor: 2 x Quad Core AMD Opteron™ 2372HE 2.1GHz 4x512K Cache 1Ghz HyperTrnsprt
Memory: 4GB DDR2, 667MHz, 4x1GB Single Ranked DIMMs
