...as an added question, could we use thin client stations for the travelling suite? I'd expect yes, but I want to be sure... and to understand what they might look like. Further, what does the connection string look like? Is it a single IP...
Hello,
Yes, the /etc/hosts file contains
#IP FQDN hostname
<IP Address1> nodename1.domain.pf nodename1
<IP Address2> nodename2.domain.pf nodename2
<IP Address3> nodename3.domain.pf nodename3
I think the issue may be related to...
One of the best / easiest options at the moment is the setup of a Tailscale network, you can run a tailscale node in an LXC and access you entire LAN for anywhere.
No requirement to open holes in the firewall

Apologies for the audio quality. There was a nasty ground loop buzzing in the first two talks, but we fixed that for the rest of the day with a DI box with ground lift. And during the event we kept tuning the audio in the audio mixer, basically...
Hi all. I'm totally new to this and writing a business case for a Proxmox installation for our training team to work anywhere in the world. We have an existing internet connection into the server room. From following WAY too many links, it would...
As this was still bothering me and all the "workarounds" were not really working well for me, i started to research again and recently found this:

Feedback on kernel 7.0.14-22-pve
We experienced instability with previous kernel releases on our Proxmox cluster, particularly after upgrading from 7.0.14-16-pve.
Today we tested 7.0.14-22-pve on one node. After approximately 30 minutes of...
In our lab we were hit with this issue due to running BCM57412 bnxt_en Nics when we updated to the .14-20 kernel. We pinned to .14-19 as a workaround.
Today I updated to the .14.22 kernel and so far no issues seen.
You're right. there's absolutely a ton of untapped potential for SPICE. Having a high fidelity, native VDI client/server streaming protocol, like Horizon or whatever Citrix calls theirs, would be huge, especially if it works with Nvidia vGPU...
I have created a build system that works for virtviewer, I discovered that there exist minor unpublished improvements in the virtviewer repo.
Now I am digging through the virtviewer source code to find the source of that issue.

Thanks.
When I can poke at it some more, I might see if I can dry-run a removal via boot tool. That should wipe out the actual kernel, not just unhook it from the boot menu. At least, that's how I would expect it to work.
But, I wanted to make...
It didn't show the module as installed for kernel 7.0.14-19-pve.
I'm assuming that since dpkg crashed out trying to set up the DKMS module, that was the reason that kernel never built correctly.
I accidentally went ahead and upgraded to the...
Same issue here. With kernel 7.0.14-20-pve and Supermicro AOC-STG-b2T-NI22 (based on BCM57416) updated to firmware 237.1.148.0, the system is not stable and network comes and goes every few minutes. Using kernel 7.0.14-16-pve is fine. I am gonna...
I searched around and checked the documentation, but since this hasn't happened to me before I'm not sure I was looking in the right place. I'm not sure what to do about this.
I have a kernel on my system that seems to have not installed...
fixed it!
just had to add root:1000:1 to /etc/subgid and /etc/subuid, without editing what was already there.
So recap:
*Make a user inside an LXC
*Make the same user on the pve host
*Make them both both uid1000 and gui1000 or any other free...
