Hello team,
I would like to migrate one VM machine which disk size is around 200GB to smaller SSD disk size (like 60GB). Could you please adivise me some hints for this.
Thank you very much for your support!
Regards,
Well i enabled firewall and set VM firewall on reject in/out. Created aliases for me and my coworker then ping tested with multiple systems in the network. Whitelisted ips connect and others dont even receive an answer which is good. Thanks a lot...
Proxmox VE 9.2.21
After upgrading to kernel 7.0.14-20-pve I get a reproducible crash when starting a VM. This seems to be caused by a passed through em28xx-usb-tuner.
The VM will fail to start and the host is also not fine after that, e.g. it...
I am clearly doing something dumb, and just have not figured it out
My proxmox server is at a local DC
It is connected to my home router via Route Based IPSEC
From the CLI of the Proxmox server, I can ping any host on my home subnet, no issues...
Everything was running fine, with my idle in the low 40's (okay for ambient being 25-28C). It looks like a recent update introduced the previous stability issues on Friday. (Looked at logs and the privileged LXC wasn't running when it crashed.)...
Another data point for the bnxt_en regression in 7.0.14-20 reported by @Phibs (#237).
Hardware: OVH Advance dedicated server, AMD EPYC, IOMMU on. Broadcom BCM57502 NetXtreme-E [14e4:1752] rev 12, dual 25G, firmware 229.0.121.0 (so a different...
Hi @Nemesiz, it's just a little console tool we wrote for this project. One Python script on top of the Rich library: https://github.com/Textualize/rich.
Strictly read-only: it pulls from /sys/class/net, /proc/stat, /proc/interrupts, the CPPC...
Hi, thanks.
Yes, it is. I’ve even tried removing and adding it to the group again (usermod -a -G dialout nut), with no luck.
Also, I replicated this exact same configuration to another server running the same old version of PVE 8 and it worked...
If you are not familiar with editing the BIOS (updating Microcodes and much more), I would let go of the idea of ever improving this piece of "ingenious engineering".
Sorry, but this is rapidly becoming a classic. People buy crappy hardware, only...
Today same problem , after reboot with new Kernel 7.0.14-19 no connection with node ( Cluster with 3 Nodes ). You have to upgrade niccli and firmware of your Broadcom NICs , I have N225P - 2 x 25/10GbE OCP 3.0 Adapter and N210P - 2 x 10GbE PCIe...
Das QNAP kann virtualisieren, ja. Zum Anlegen einer solchen VM komme ich aber erst kommende Woche (mit genügend Vorlauf, Rack und Server sind noch nicht eingetroffen). Danke!
late to the party, but:
lets start at the beginning.
There is an issue with your root file system. BECAUSE you're using lvm, the disk itself is accessible to you directly, without a container. start with this:
fsck -fy...

I want to create a new media set (Allocation: Always, Retention: Keep), with no de-duplication so that each backup is a self-contained full-backup. Given that each tape backup must reside in a pool (media set), can multiple media sets coexist on...
Hi @skins4ever86 , the exit error is generic - anything not 0 is conventionally an error. 1 is a catch all. Some developers use other integers to describe specific problems.
Your particular error is related to the PCI passthrough, and is more...
Do you have a keyring in /etc/pve/priv/ceph/<your_rbd_storage>.keyring?
If so, AND you still have
auth_client_required = none
auth_cluster_required = none
auth_service_required = none
set in your ceph.conf, try renaming that to...
