I don't enable SR-IOV on the 13th-gen Dells at work in production. Running without issues. I do enable X2APIC and I/OAT DMA though. All servers are running latest firmware (BIOS, NIC, iDRAC, etc, etc).

At work, the order of precedence for reliability is: 1) Mellanox (CX-6) 2) Intel (E810) 3) Broadcom (NetXtreme/Thor)

Thought I'd just chip in here too.... I run a Dell R730 in a colo facility - it hasn't had any issues with PVE9 or any of the release 7.0.x kernels. However, my system has the following network adapters installed: I am using 2 x 10Gb SFP+...

I'll be honest - I can see the idea for using DHCP to configure everything - but I can also see it being a gateway for pain. I'm not sure if you're looking at running more than one PVE host in a cluster - or this is a single server operation -...

Thanks for the reply. I did experiment with krbd, as well as partitioning the PCIe SSDs (Intel DC P3700) for multiple OSDs, and also disabled compression, among a host of other tweaks. I really never could exceed around 160MBytes/sec sustained...

Another thing to check - your reverse DNS entries in your first post seem to mention pmg01 and pmg02. From querying external DNS servers for your screenshotted PMG hosts, I see that pmg01 does not seem to have a reverse DNS entry for its IP...

Yes I understand the orthodox network position, I too was there 10 thousands years ago before dhcp even existed. It feels scary to relinquish manual control to an unreliable untested machine. It feels empowering to give numbers to things and know...

Hello @SteveITS and thanks for your answer. Unfortunately this will not be possible :( Proxmox doesn t have on the roadmap to integrate modern authentication for the notification ? I know for veeam I use it.

It DOES see the sata controller as well but it just will not use it. I'm using seabios (default). Does that need to be changed to uefi? Edi: if I select uefi it wants more storage to store it. I tried enabling viommu and that did not work...

I don't NEED the gpu. I do need the sata controller and nic. I'm not sure what iommu is. When I run the lspi I do see the gpu in the list.

Are you asking my to run this? Here's the result: qm config VMIDHERE { shopt -s nullglob for g in $(find /sys/kernel/iommu_groups/* -maxdepth 0 -type d | sort -V); do echo "IOMMU Group ${g##*/}:" for d in $g/devices/*; do echo...

Musst...

Hi, I'm trying to upgrade my proxmox from 8 to 9. It is currently displaying it as version 9.2.2 when it boots. I cannot pass PCI devices anymore to my vms, specifically truenas. It doesn't see my network card or my disk controller. It did...

Some experiences with BTRFS (for non-root, all RAID1c2 coming from ZFS mirrors, running latest no-subscription with kernel 7.0) on my single node home system (running a desktop VM with GPU and USB passthrough): The same: Check-summed redundant...
