Hi @delltech1, welcome to the forum. I'm glad you found the post useful. Your continued promotion of your AI plugin here and elsewhere motivated me to share it, because what you're promoting corrupts data.

Hi Everyone,
Every few months someone asks some version of "why can't I use LVM-thin on my shared SAN LUN?" Thick LVM works fine as shared storage, but has no native snapshots. LVM-thin has snapshots but is local-only... it's natural to wonder...

I don't use LVM pools. I am using ZFS only. I also don't store much on my server, as I keep virtualization separate from data management. My boot drives are on a mirrored ZFS pool on a pair of small drives. My VMs reside on a different set of...
A VM name/label is not treated as a unique identifier in PVE, or, for example, in OpenStack. The VM ID is the actual identifier.
As an example, nothing in the PVE API uses the VM name or label as an addressable identifier. API operations use the...
The no-sub repo has newer packages. You would need to wait some day/weeks for them to age out before everything switches over to the enterprise repo. So I suggest not using the no-sub if you can avoid it.

Thanks for an interesting take. Will look into truenas, as I have heard about it many times but not felt the need as yet.
I do want a way to get the systems back up when the inevitable Murphy’s law incident comes calling. Many thanks.
Same issue here. I got a repeated DMA error on /dev/sde (the disk on the CD-ROM slot) and switch back to the 6.17 fixed this issue.
Hardware is the Gen8 Microserver, which is a very old model of small home server, and a intel SSD on the CD rom...
Hi
Is there any way of changing the router-id for the EVPN BGP. It uses multicast addresses by default and I can't connect it to the rest of my VXLAN domain since the network equipment wont talk to a device with a router-id that is a multicast...
We have similar issue when try to install pmx 9.2.1 on Gigabyte H97M-D3H with a 240 kingston SSD
Near the end of the installation, the system fails to decompress the final packages, and we see write errors in the log. Consequently, the entire...
