Maybe this (which I found using this search) will help: https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/recover-from-grub-failure-cant-find-lvm.121861/#post-529751
Your Proxmox VE is many years out of support and vulnerable to a lot of things. Please install...
Hi Team,
We have 5 servers, and each server has 2 CPU sockets. We are planning to build a Proxmox cluster with these 5 servers.
We are planning to purchase a combination of Premium and Standard support subscriptions for the cluster.
Could you...
Hello,
Using ACME with the Cloudflare DNS plugin, I've configured a PVE node with a Let's Encrypt certificate for pve-host.mydomain.com.
So, adding that PVE node as a single-node remote to PDM was really easy; I didn't have to worry about...
Hi,
While I personally thought that the multiple endpoints were only for clusters (i.e. 3 endpoints for 3 nodes in a cluster), I tested it out myself and IMO nothing speaks against using it this way.
PDM has it's own failover mechanism to make...
Thanks for testing it out and for the additional info. :)
Right now, I'm testing it with a single Remote that contains a single node, so there's not really an alternative path to a second node if the first one becomes unreachable. I have...
IIRC, the failover takes all the remotes' node URLs, probes the connection to them and uses the next-best if one of them happens to fail the probe. PDM can only fall back if two or more node URLs are specified in a cluster.
Thanks again. :)
Just to be explicit for anyone who finds this later (and also for me, who managed to confuse myself after marking this as SOLVED), for the IP/fingerprint-based endpoints, the fingerprint is from pve-ssl.pem, correct?
On my...
So I somehow got about 20-40% depending on type of load in performance extra CPU throughput with following flags set. This is on top of default host flags.
flags +invtsc;+topoext;+host-cache-info;-hypervisor
It seems for the performance boost...

The above recommends "minimum 4 GiB for the OS."
I installed the OS on to an ext4-formatted disk.
With one (1) single-node Remote added to PDM, I'm seeing ~ 415 MiB of RAM usage. That's about...
You shouldn't just "consider" it except you enjoy getting hacked due to unpatched security issues:

If you are not able to keep you production...
I can't say anything about the other parts of the writeup, but the "recommendation" for cleanup/rebuild irritates me:
I can't agree with this. This is a lot of work while you still could overlook something or the bad actor (now that the attack...
Thanks for quick response. Can you tell me What are the cuases which leads to this similar crash and how to get backup.
we are installing proxmox on top of baremetal directly to create multiple(i.e thousands in number) Hardware Emulators.

Hello,
As a preamble, here's my setup:
I'm currently testing PDM with a single-node PVE Remote cluster (that mostly just exists to test PDM).
I've created an Administrator-privileged account on the PVE Remote cluster for PDM to use to monitor...
I just tried this, and it seems to have picked up the change in the GUI without me rebooting.
I'm not even sure I manually reloaded the page.
In any case, that worked. Even better than expected. :)
Oh gosh, I've found the error. My interface is actually eno2 but /etc/network/interfaces had eno1. It's working now. Thanks, all.
I'd like to learn something here. Why would my interface name change in the process of carrying my host PC from one...
