Be sure not to over-commit and run into VMs running into I/O errors because the host has no more disk space.
I can't tell from just your information but the manual states: Note that SSD emulation is not supported on VirtIO Block drives...
after qm migrate, the source image remains on the source node, if i free it, it comes back!
# qm list
VMID NAME STATUS MEM(MB) BOOTDISK(GB) PID
100 archive.psg.com running 2048 128.00 2716...
I've done the steps indicated and it seems I really got back lot of unused space.
Thanks very much.
Now I only need to figure why some vm disks have the chance to change the ssd emulation and some don't :)
Back on manuals !

Thanks for including that, @Onslow . I should have excerpted that in my OP.
I suppose a better way to ask is what people find to constitute sufficiently high incoming traffic. I believe it's helpful with Wireguard and other VPNs, for instance...
Reporting the same issue. The same error was produced when trying to install 9.2.1, but the 8.4.1 installation was fine.
Update: solved my issue by adding intel_iommu=sp_off to the grub menu on 9.2.1 installation.
Hello, @SInisterPisces
You have probably studied this already, but just in case I'm giving the link to the fragment on the subject:
https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/chapter-qm.html#qm_network_device
- section "Multiqueue".
It gives technical...
if you press the shutdown button via proxmox gui it will shut down and stay turned off, however if it is done via the guest OS it will turn back on (with HA enabled) - i also noticed this coming from vmware and its annoying, proxmox has some...
If I recall correctly it's entirely possible to use ZFS with HW-RAID if (and only if!) you don't build a pool but instead uses the virtual disc provided by the RAID-Controller in a single-device-pool. @Falk R. mentioned such a setup in the...
One could take a good hard look at the command line options of virtiofsd to see what else makes sense in the context of PVE. Exposing --readonly might be a good idea, for example.
Since you suggested it I'll go and open a ticket.
Thats an unreasonable metric. "maximum" means nothing here. All you can do is use best practices for your guest OS. whether that yields acceptable results is up to the operator to determine- slow storage will impact your experience way more then...
