UdoB replied to the thread Should i install proxmox on my 4TB SSD RAID 5 setup ?.Yes. Up to more than five seconds - that's the default interval for writing out (async-) buffered content. More than five because there are two Transaction Groups "TXG": one is active and receives data to be written (from a program) while the... -
AAlexanderB replied to the thread Grundsatz für Shared Storage.

bbgeek17 replied to the thread Solo business owner, can I use proxmox as an alternative to Windows 365?.This thread was started and stopped 2 years ago, I am not sure why it was necromancer'ed :-) I am sure OP has moved on since 2024. Talos and HiveStation solve opposite problems on purpose. Talos is an immutable, API-driven, headless OS built to run a fleet of Kubernetes nodes with no shell in sight. HiveStation is the other end: one mutable developer workstation, full... -

Hi @galffing , I hope you don't mind me saying this, but based on the questions you've asked, it seems like W365 would be the best fit for your business needs. Blockbridge : Ultra low latency all-NVME shared storage for Proxmox -...

TTErxleben replied to the thread Grundsatz für Shared Storage. Was bei dir zfs-local heißt, heißt in meinem Screenshot lvm-local. Auf dieser Basis landen dann alle virtuellen...

Aalexskysilk replied to the thread Should i install proxmox on my 4TB SSD RAID 5 setup ?.words like "terrible" are terrible. they provide no context. You could say "RAIDz1 performs poorly compared to RAID10" or "RAIDz1 provides poor risk management vs RAIDz2" but without knowing the use case and expected performance and fault...

AAlexanderB replied to the thread Grundsatz für Shared Storage.

RAIDz1 is terrible for VMs and drives without PLP are also no fun with ZFS. Hardware RAID5 (with battery backup for sync write caching) without ZFS is fine. https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/fabu-can-i-use-zfs-raidz-for-my-vms.159923/ (fixed...

TTErxleben replied to the thread Grundsatz für Shared Storage.

Hello @l.leahu-vladucu Six days ago in the same Gitlab post that you quoted they mentioned that the new VirtIO driver release should be available in a month, https://gitlab.com/qemu-project/qemu/-/work_items/3286#note_3654337082 Many thanks...

AAlexanderB replied to the thread Grundsatz für Shared Storage.
