is Windows service "Balloon" present and running in dhcp 1?
For information :
(again mixed myself, Balloon service installed with Qemu Guest agent reports used RAM not the cached).
VM "Memory usage" = "used Memory" in Windows.
But remember...
You are a genius. I didn't think to check the service because I had reinstalled it twice during testing, one repair and one reinstall. That is the issue. Both bugged servers didn't have the balloon service at all, which is kinda blowing my mind...
I'd try and raise the minimum imbalance to say 25 so it stops doing it so frequently see where it lands.
You could also change the hold duration to a higher value
Adding to @SteveITS bandwith is indeed important, if you can get to 25 or even 100gigs between sites..
You have to keep in mind that say, in RF4, each written block gets written to 4 places for safecopying, that's a lot

Thanks for the reply. That one certainly has a similar symptom, though that was reported as a 6.8 kernel regression. This seems like a separate problem with a similar symptom, since it works perfectly in 6.17 and regressed in 7.0 kernel. This...
What is the speed and latency between the two locations? Hopefully 10 Gbit or higher? I could see this being very slow in several cases since at least 1/3 of all I/O is copied to the other data center.
4 nodes is more than 3 but you may want...
You are right to underline that I (and some of us) should spend time migrating from mdraid, I'll dig deeper into that.
However, that bug is a bug in the linux kernel (not specific to mdraid, it affect plain disks , loopbacks, etc) , it's even not...
Here's a slight refinement to my live restore description above, after more time in the source. There are three different sizes at work. I had them blurred together.
The guest read is whatever size the guest asks for. The fetch from PBS is...
I agree with the others that this is a setup with many caveats and has high disk consumption (due to the requirement of having rf4)
Also this sounds like Corosync will be over shared media , so make sure your QoS is tight accordingly
Okay.
Unfortunately I cannot answer reliably as I do not have Jellyfin in a container. But... I would expect "mount points" to supply the required tooling: https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/chapter-pct.html#pct_mount_points
Hi @krisshurley , we covered behavior related to your findings in our KB article a while back: https://kb.blockbridge.com/technote/proxmox-qcow-snapshots-on-lvm/#data-consistency-and-information-leak-risks
One approach would be to wipe the...
