I experienced it on a 5 node cluster.
Each node used the same hardware with 3 NVME split into 3 partitions:
/ is md raid 5
/vaz/lib/vz is a lvm raid 5, storage used only for backup and template
ceph osd, main storage
Proxmox metrics and VM...
I've been scanning the openzfs github issues a little, and apparently there's a multitude of problems known with imports failing from some mystic reasons. Specifically, in issue https://github.com/openzfs/zfs/issues/10891, still open since 2020...
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for some assistance diagnosing a recurring crash affecting a single OSD.
Environment
Proxmox VE 9.2.5
Ceph Squid
Current version: 19.2.4
Previous version where the same crash occurred: 19.2.3
Host: pve14

Hello yes that post I did it, but in the last adjournment it was not enough to remove the 6* kernel because it always gave insufficient space, so I had removed if I remember correctly :
6.17.13-19-pve
7.0.14-4-pve
7.0.6-2-pve
7.0.2-7-pve
I...

Your grub.cfg in /boot includes the latest kernel.
Assuming the config is copied over correctly to the ESP it should be available in the boot menu.
Do you see the 7.0.14-6 entry in the grub boot menu at all?
Regarding the removal of kernels, you...

My use case was hot storage of archive material with a modest 1.3 dedup ratio. RAIDZ3 pool of 12x10TB SAS disks with 128GB RAM, 1M recordsize/zstd dataset. Real world write speeds of about 750 MB/s on a non-dedup dataset. Dedup had a factor ~7...
I am not talking about CPU performance but storage performance ;)
I would argue the statement "storage is cheap, performance is not" has become even more true in the last 10 months.
Even though storage has got more expensive.
Sorry for late response, I was on a long vacation and just came back. Besides the mentioned approach - which i also appreciate - is there another way, maybe with accepted downtime of 1 host or all hosts (in a maintenance window)?
Thank you, yes the problem and that there are a kernel casino , but if I run out apt autoremove is dangerous because I seem to have seen that it tries to remove the kernels always rewriting esp that goes in saturation . in a cluster of clist...
