Hello community,
I have this case :
PMG-BO acting as a smarthost for all the intranet
PMG-FO acting as a default relay for outgoing mails
PMG-FO-OTP with specific config to send OTP codes (maximal_queue_lifetime=30m ; IP dedicated, and so...
Hi
I have been notified of this OpenSSH flaw
https://www.securityweek.com/openssh-flaw-allowing-full-root-shell-access-lurked-for-15-years/
Currently running PVE 9.1.7 across our estate and I see it is on OpenSSH 10.0
Are there any plans to...
Um I'm new to this proxmox the only older benchmark I have is running xonotic and farm sim 22 on windows bare metal.
I cant really tell the difference in fps.
See: https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/chapter-sysadmin.html#sysboot_kernel_pin
by "pinning" the kernel with proxmox-boot-tool - you tell the boot-loader which kernel to boot, you can then install/upgrade the packages, and the pinned kernel would...
We recently uploaded the 7.0 (rc6) kernel to our repositories. The current default kernel for the Proxmox VE 9 series is still 6.17, but 7.0 is now an option.
We plan to use the 7.0 kernel as the new default for the upcoming Proxmox VE 9.2 and...
A Proxmox bridge acts like a virtual Layer 2 switch, so using the same vmbr0 is not inherently unsafe by itself. The real question is whether WAN and LAN are actually separated at Layer 2. If both OPNsense interfaces are connected to the same...
Staff, I have a question: For those in pve-no-subscription who don't want to install kernel 7 yet, which of those is the recommended method to stay at 6.17 without having to pin it every kernel upgrade?
# Method 1: install the latest 6.17...
We use templates for VMs per resource pool, templates come with NICs defined including virtual bridges they connect to and allowed VLANs. These NICs can not be edited by users after they "full cloned" their VM out of that template.
Tedious part...
I am glad you found the vm disk and it is running again.
Btw. why did you create these <node>-SSD entries in the storage configuration at all? Assuming each node provides the default LVM-Thinpool anyway, you're not gaining anything from that. If...
I can safely say this is not related to intel microcode, I see this happening since a short while on one of our clusters as well, which is fully AMD nodes.
The Proxmox node is a fully updated cluster member, guests are mostly CTs and with a single Ubuntu 25.10 desktop, accessed via RDP. It's the only 25.10 desktop I have in the cluster, but another Ubuntu server 24.04 LTS doesn't seem to be...
Hi,
Wondering about resource pools, and resource separation. In our PoC, I created some test resource pools, added users, VMs and some storages to them. Now, when creating a new VM (as a resource pool member) I see correctly the available...

Dear all,
Looks like pve-manager will be soon of version 9.2
We have 5 hosts and 2 PBS, all with subscriptions and everything is working fine, very happy after moving out of VMware.
Though I have a request for "UI change" if possible:
Instead...
# Building a Multi-Site SDN with Proxmox, EVPN over BGP, and ZeroTier
## Problem We Were Solving
We wanted to create a unified **Software Defined Network (SDN)** that spans multiple physical locations, each with its own:
- Local network...
